Roommates play speakers very loud, dangerous?

Hah, I like where this thread went!

Anywhos, I never had any problems with any roommates. In fact, the surround system I started putting together in my 2nd and finished in my third year of college has survived several roommates and is now with me as I work on grad school.

Obviously the system in my bedroom is off limits to anyone but myself. For a variety of reasons, part being it costs more than the home theater TV and all.
