HSU Research VTF-3 MK 2 12-Inch 350W Subwoofer (for those in Canada)

Hey all,

Electronics for Less (Toronto, Canada) is selling the HSU Research VTF-3 MK 2 12-Inch 350W Subwoofer for $839CDN with free shipping. Not sure how good this price is but I thought I would mention it. They were selling all their HSU subs on clearance prices but the rest of the models are sold out

I don't know how the pricing differs between the US and Canada, but I bought two of those subs for $550. each directly from HSU about six months ago. They were closing them out and I don't think they're available anymore from HSU.

According to that link, "approx: $755.86 US Dollars".

I'd say that's not a deal since they haven't made Mk2's for about a year.
HSU offers the Mk3's for $699 US

Wow, that's pretty steep for older subs.
Granted, I do not know what the new subs go for in Canada. (but would certainly opt for one of them, if the price difference is minimal)

Prices here in Canada can vary greatly for subs and anything else. I guess re-looking at it it might not be such a deal. Our dollar is $0.95USD right now, but I bet in the time frame when these were bought by EFL for sale on the net our dollar was much much lower in USD so they paid more for them in CND.

That is not a knock againt EFL as I have bought a number of items from them and they have been great.

Some trouble up here, Canada, is that if we were to order the same sub from the US, duty at the border is a real crap shoot with it sometimes exceeding the price you paid for the item. Worst part is there is no rhyme or reason to it and nowhere, without a lot of legwork, that you can find out what you will pay
