I have a pair of AR-3's from the late 50's, and I have a few questions

I want to send the drivers in for repair (midrange on both, and woofer on one) but I need to take the grill cloth on, problem is its glued on, is there anyway to safely take it off, and how do I put it all back together. Second, is repair really worth it on these? and do crossovers degrade over time, the pots are smooth but is the frequency's still right, should I have them checked. Also is there a way to find out specifically what year they are?

Thanks a lot.

Hi rhodesjazz,

I don't know but I do know that http://audiokarma.org/ is a very good forum for vintage gear.

Good luck,
