50' component cable rg-59 or rg-6

Hi,
I need a 50 ft long component cable from my receiver to TV(720p/1080i). Will there be any difference in the quality of video between rg-59 vs rg-6 video cable from monoprice. Is it worth spending the extra $$ for rg-6 cable?

For base band applications under 50 feet, RG59 with a 95% copper braided shield is fine. For broadband (i.e. satellite or cable tv) use RG6. If you're running in-wall, make sure the cable is CL2 rated. If purchasing from monoprice, I believe you'll have to go with the RG6 cables to get the CL2 rating.

I think you mean Rg59. Where I used to work we used RG59 almost exclusively for component and audio runs. For Catv use RG6. In my personal theater i ran RG6 Quad sheild. But Its harder to work with because of the thickness and stiffness.

I can tell you from experience that the monoprice RG6 premium cables are some of the stiffest I've ever encountered. RG6 is the big brother of RG59.
