Denon DVD-3910 menu issues

I just bought The R1 Taxi Driver 2 disc SE
when played the extras disc(disc 2) it comes up
in japanese menu,I played on another player is normal
english :confused:

So if I understand you correctly, the movie disc played fine, it was just the supplemental disc that inverted languages (or didn't play English at all).

I think this sounds more like a disc issue (in conjunction with the player's chip). They may have been a little careless on the supplemental disc, and the 3910 reads the coding different than your other player.

I will second. The 3910 is quirkly like that, no complaints with SQ or PQ though.

Once the disc is playing, try selecting the language you want manually. Previous models had issues like this as well like the 2900 with Diana Krall's Live in Paris DVD would only play the 2ch track no matter what you selected in the menu, but you could change it manually. This and other known disc issues were fixed with a firmware update. Perhaps there is a firmware update for the 3910?
