I need some advice on speaker placement. I searched the forum and didn't find quite what I was looking for. Here's my question. I have a room that is 18 x 14 with wood floors and I have my television placement against the 14 foot wall. I have a 12 foot flat ceiling and would really like to use ceiling mount speakers if feasible. I also have no interest in using in-the-wall speakers.
Would it be feasible to install two Polk TC80s in the front ceiling corners and place another TC80 in between the two front channels to use as a center. At the back of the room I would use two TC60 for rears. Is the sound is going to be horrible? I've had one person tell me it will sound great and another tell me that it will sound ok but not great because the sound is from above. BTW, I'm using a Velodyne DLS 3750 for my sub if that matters any.
Or should I just keep my Polk RTi12s, RTi6s and my center CSi5 and deal with it?
Any advice (good or bad) is much appreciated!!! THANKS!!!
