). They can be somewhat misleading depending upon how it is understood. The explanation of BL for instance makes it seem that you want to purchase a sub with the highest BL factor as it will have the strongest motor. All T/S parameters are interrelated. They are measurements of the sum of the parts working together as a system. For instance you would not choose driver A over Driver B simply because it has a stronger motor expressed in BL. It may have a stronger motor because it has substantially more mass, xmax, or it is simply not a real efficient design and requires a lot of motor force.
I guess what I am saying is don't fget too concerned with any one parameter. They can begin to give an idea of how a woofer will perform but only with much experience. Even then you can be thrown for a loop now and then.
