Denon 2807: setup screen not showing on TV monitor

Hi: After I connected all my HT equipment, when I press the Setup button on the receiver remote, the setup screen would show up on my TV screen. I was playing with the remote and now when I press the setup button it doesn't show the setup screen on TV but shows only on the receiver display. Anybody has had the same problem?

Ray, make sure that your TV is set to the correct video input. Perhaps while punching keys on the remote, you changed the TV input to another video source.

I can watch DVD. But the setup menu doesnot show up on the screen.

Are you using HDMI for your video sources?

first off, I think the OSD on most receivers only output in composite ...

so if you have connected a composite cable to the TV, you need to switch to that input on the tv

I think what both Adam and Davemcc have alluded to is that if you are using component, composite or s-video, the "monitor" output on the receiver requires a separate cable...thus a separate "input." Again, are you sure the input is correct?
