Microsoft further solidified the Xbox 360 as the ultimate high-definition (HD) entertainment platform

I got that far and burst out laughing...

I just love this format war it just keep on driving prices down although I think if I had a 360 I would spend the extra money and get a Toshiba player just because I think they might be a little more reliable than a 360.

Me too! I was going to buy 10 and put them on Craigslist.

If you can wait, Best Buy is going to have the HD DVD player for $179 (along with the King Kong HD Movie) and also a free 300 HD DVD Movie. And the nice thing is that it qualifies for the 5 free HD DVD rebates...If you really want to push it, tell them to match Walmart's price of $169 (at least that is what my local Walmart is showing)...

Amazon has a deal going now where you get 2 free HD-DVD's instantly and you can still mail-in to get the other 5 free HD-DVD's. I ordered it and got 300 & Batman Begins! woo hoo!
