It's clear my thread title is exactly what this author believes...........

REYNOSA, Mexico (Reuters) - Tougher security along the U.S.-Mexico border is forcing migrants to take more dangerous, remote routes to cross into the United States and pushing up the number of deaths in the desert. This year could see a record of well over 500 such deaths. At least 275 Mexican bodies have been found in the first six months, according to a Mexican Congressional report backed by U.S. and Mexican border groups and academics.

The Reuters agenda driven reporting has clearly flipped the tables and turned the real story (that New border security measures are working and making it more difficult for ILLEGAL ALIENS to enter) into something it isn't (a story detailing the victimization of innocent migrants:thanks to evil America).

The author even laments the rising costs of entering the country illegally....
But some border experts say enforcement does not stop those trying to get into the United States and only makes it more dangerous, greatly raising the fees charged by people smugglers.

Hello??? They're called illegal aliens, and they're breaking the law by entering our deserts!!!!!!! I find the media's pro-illegal alien left interpretation of current events to be quite interesting indeed:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The new border security measures are clearly making a positive impact, and that's a good thing:) ......unless you're a card holding member of the pro-open-borders media.

I am neither liberal nor conservative, but live in the middle third of most topics. I read editorials and commentaries from both sides. I will say the right is much more prone to violence and hatred and disdain for those different than them.

There are plenty political forums and other BS forums you can post this stuff on. Almost all, if not all of your threads are started in the steam vent and are generally political. You aren't making much of a contribution to the forum. You come off as a political troll.

While that may be true, how much of that violence could have been avoided if people were willing to listen and accept. In history violence was usually the first option because of poor communication. Now we have direct lines of contact, look what the presidents line did for the cold war and how much bloodshed was stopped because of talking, which can save lives and does save lives. Violence need not always be the first resort just because overpowering someone in the past has worked does not mean it is the best way to deal with the problem now.

Also, how much unneeded violence has there been that has just caused more conflict and solved nothing? The crusades, most of the pointless wars in America's history and what is going on in the middle east (not Iraw, think Israel). I know there is more but history isn't really my thing.

Violence is a double edged sword. It can help situations as seen by the fact that war is considered an extension of diplomacy (Geneva Convention made this idea more concrete) but there are many times death could be circumvented in favor of real politics.

That may be.......but in everyday things talking to a conservative then talking to a liberal, the conservatives are much more prone to be "haters". Case in point was discussing Ron Regan and Bill Clinton. Many liberals, as well as the Union Democrats that supported him early on, reviled his policies on Labor and Social issues. But I never saw a liberal get their face all screwed up with hatred of Ron Regan personally. On the other hand, mention Bill Clinton to a conservative and see what happens.............

And you of course did some sociological studies to back this up and give it proof and validity?

You see, this is the problem with most (not all) of these kinds of posts. (You're not alone in this DavidTT.) Their based on biased opinion. Whoopee. Not fact and not useful. Maybe if you researched and discovered a provable, repeatable thesis, these threads and your opinions would be more useful.

I think it's become clear that you either have absolutely no reading comprehension skills or have an extreme bias against Reuters.

It's a fact that tougher border security leads to increased numbers of illegal immigrants dying while attempting to cross.

I could absolutely not read "evil US" or "innocent migrants" into the article no matter how hard I tried.

The *point* of the article is that "tougher security" at the border isn't the answer because it leads to human beings dying. It's a single point that the article communicates quite well.

I had to give Jonny a green chicklet............ because he was the first member of the "open border left" to respond on subject to the thread. I don't share his opinions...... but that's besides the point.

Congrats on the chickly:D

The rest are, as predicted, ................avoiding the subject. As the pro-illegal alien crowd always does.

No, you don't get it. This is "Audioholics", and myself along with others tire of seeing these posts. I suppose in the future I will just avoid your postings in the steam vent since your agenda is quite apparent. I just can't believe you don't have more productive things to talk about.

I completely agree with you their. At first I was sucked into these pointless threads, but after the last one I learned they have no real point except to troll and detract from the point of this site.

This is exactly why I don't care for politics or religion. If you don't agree with someone's views you label them. Both politics and religion divide people and both lead to wars and all sorts of trouble that we can do without.

There is no difference between republican, democrat, left, right, liberal, conservative, or whatever label you want to use. They are all just people with different views on different topics and in many cases all sides are wrong to one extent or another.
