Hey everyone,
I got back from travel yesterday and discovered that my Sony KV-32FS100TV is now grayscale on the component input. The other (S-video) input works fine. The feed is from our Dish Network DVR 522. Anybody have any ideas. Thanks.

Bryce, was there anyone with access to the TV while you were gone? Is it possible that the component video setup menu had the color turned all of the way down? Also, I don't know if the video would go gray if one of the cables was loose.

It definitely sounds like cabling to me, or a setup in the Dish box. Move some cables around and see what you get, but B&W info is carried on the Green cable and color information is on the Red and Blue cables. No color, but a good image = good green, bad blue (Pb) and red(Pr) feeds.

Bizzare - I had reconnected all the cables before posting and nothing changed - you guys suggest I do it, so I do, and it works. Go figure. Thanks

At least you didn't pay a tech to come out and fix it. I find that is often the case with my line of work. I show up on site, then spend 30 minutes trying to figure out what is wrong with the (name part here) when it obviously works exactly how it is supposed to be working...

Person agrees that it is working perfectly and then swears it wasn't working perfectly yesterday.

Guess people just like having me around. ;)
