Heres a couple pics of my little setup. Im at work and had to resize the pics using MS Paint so the quality kinda sucks but they're all under 100k!

It’s a real bummer they've been on TNT lately because FOX HD sounds so good especially when they do “Crank it up".

Yes, I agree!! Fox is tops when it comes to NASCAR audio!! (plus.... DW in the booth is the most entertaining....at least for me)

Just feel fortunate that ABC doesn't have a NASCAR contract, because their sound is the worst of all............by far!!

I watched a bit of the Indy500 on ABC (the only indycar race in HD thus far that I'm aware of in 2007), and that sound was not only in 2-channel.......but it was a horribly weak version of 2-channel!!
Luckily...it rained out......because the bad sound was killing me!!

ABC's HD-college football audio is also extremely weak...at best. (in between their frequent technical difficulties) I just cant understand why shows like "LOST" sound so great, but then they skimp on audio for live sporting events

PS... I dont mind TNT-HD too much, and I rank ESPN-HD coverage lower..... The one thing I do like about TNT is that a lot of the pre-race material is listed as separate programming, so you dont have to skip through 1 hour+ of DVR'd recording to get to the green flag.

Didnt they even have a few NBC races too?? Sheesh....... NASCAR moves around so much, it's hard to keep up!!

Sometimes ABC has the Bush races on Saturday and they always say ESPN on them and I agree the audio it terrible.

hehe the stand totally sucks it was like $50 from the Ikea "as is" section. Im hoping maybe Ill win one of the monthly contests from studio tech.

The chairs look really good in the picture but are all scratched to sh*t courtesy of our cats, but thank you they are very comfortable and the center console is very convenient for keeping snacks.

That is one reason why I don't have leather furniture any more...the cloth furniture doesn't fare too much better but at least it didn't cost as much Used to have a black couch and one recliner like those.

For some reason they think it’s a shortcut when they’re racing around the room. The chairs are only about 6 months old, I don’t expect they’ll last much more then another six months……live and learn.

Nice setup! How do you like your display. I was looking at that model but my LG Plasma has quite a bit of fan noise so I went with an LCD for the theater and am kind of sorry I did. Is it quiet?

Are you using rear surrounds?

I love the display, its my first one so I don't really have anything to compair it to. I've never heard the fan.

Yes I have some RCA surrounds they are from my previous HTIB. I'd like to move my MC-6C's back and pick up 2 more 616c's for my L/R, We'll see how much money I have after summer vacation.

And kudos on the budget buy. I just made two amp stands out of a set of four maple tv trays I found in the dumpster! Enjoy the sound! David TwoTrees

Yeah Phil I'm still only using 1. I have the second one hidden next time the GF goes out with her friends Ill sneek it in and set it up behind the chairs.

Nice design indeed! I mostly appreciate the armchairs that seem to be made of genuine leather. Am I right? If it is your own idea: Congratulations! You really have taste in combining old and new items, like the light on each side of the screen. What I can't see there is a sofa or something to sleep on. Is it on your back taking pictures or it does miss from the room?

Indeed they are genuine leather (at least that’s what the sales man said). The lights are all the GF’s idea. She picked them out, installed them and best of all likes them! They had 15W bulbs that give off the perfect amount of light for TV watching. We don’t have a sofa though I think when the cats finish off the leather chairs we’ll pick up a soft cuz the GF misses ‘cuddling up’.
