WTT:Yamaha HTR-5990 for Sony PS3 or Pioneer VSX-1017TXV-K

Wanting to trade a Yamaha HTR-5990 for a Sony PS3 or a Pioneer VSX-1017TXV-K. Not sure if the 1017 has made it to stores yet, but you can get it from Pioneer online. So if you just got it from them that would work. The Yamaha Is used but in great condition. The unit is about 1 month old. Comes with the original remote. The receiver works great. Will email pics upon request.

The Yamaha is very Robust and more than I need. I had the 1016 and liked it, so I would like to try the 1017. I have 2 other Pioneer units, have always liked Pioneer.

But I would prefer the PS3 over the 1017 right now because I have several other receivers I can use for a while.

The PS3 trade makes more sense.

If you traded the Yamaha for the Pioneer it would be like trading a Definitive Tech procinema system for a Bose system, it would be a backwards move, IMO.

I was implying that the PS3 was a more logical trade.

I used to have an HTR-5890 that is nearly the same outside the HDMI features. It is a very nice receiver.
