Price on old SVS question

Was going to build my own sub but found someone selling a SVS Subwoofer CS16-46 Plus thats about 4 years old for $220, wanted to know if that was a good price since I have not heard there cylinder subs yet?

However, that doesn't change the fact that Warp is right...that's a good price! The newer ones have an updated driver, but I'd jump all over that thing. I'm guessing that you already know this, but that one doesn't have an internal amp.

If the person is someone you know selling it at that price........ then yes, it sounds like a good deal.

If you found it on the web at that price, then I'd be a bit concerned that something is wrong with it. At that price..... something smells a bit fishy. Maybe it just has a few blemishes, hence...the lower price than expected.

Or if they are dumping it for a smaller place... and in a hurry to do so...

You can speculate all you want... best idea is to go check it out... and give it a listen, if they won't let you listen, then walk away.

If they don't have any equipment, bring your own... reciever, cable, ipod...

I love those kind of surprises, "well we don't have anything here..." "Thats OK I brought my own stuff to check it out.."
