This is my first post to Audioholics and I'm looking for advice on a new receiver. My current set-up includes an old Sony that was pretty impressive 10+ years ago when purchased but it lacks connectivity. Display is a Panasonic TH-50PH60U less than a year old. B&W 601 S2 satellites, CC6 S2 center, and DM 302's for the rear channels. I'm sure about 302 as rear channel speakers but I'll deal with them later. I have been looking at the Pioneer VSX-84TXSi that seems to have everything I need. Pioneer has introduced the 9x Series Elite receivers and the 91 looks interesting but only has 2 HDMI inputs while the 84 has 4. Does anyone know if Pioneer is going to release a 9x series with more HDMI inputs?

Ray, you responded to an existing post. This is something that should really be asked in a new thread in the receivers area, since it is very specific.

How many HDMI inputs do you need?

Have you tried the TV on another input. Such as the one the cd player was hooked up to? Also, Try reversing the power plug on your Mcintosh. If its stock its an non-polarized two prong so just plug it in the other way.
