 I am starting a new HT set up and went to hook up my new 661. I have a Toshiba 65HM167 and am running a 5.1 setuo. While waiting for the Direct TV guy, I decided to hook Io the receiver so I hooked up a PS3 and Toshiba sd-7940 DVD to the receiver and out to the TV using HDMI. First I only got video and no sound....fixed that. After getting both to work, the unit runs for a while then the sound and picture will go out and come on intermittently. When I connect directly to the TV no problem with the picture or sound so it is not the two input devices or the TV.

I don't know if it is a set up or a receiver issue....need help. thank you.

It sounds like an HDMI handshake problem to me unfourtunatly I am not too sure if there is a way to fix that.

Avaserfi is most likely correct about that HDMI.
There are a number of articles at the home page about HDMI* and handshaking issues that might help.
Have you tried turning on your video source first, then the Yam?
