For sale Mcintosh Mc 502 stereo amplifier with walnut cabinet.

50 wpc @ 8 ohms stereo

75 wpc @ 4 ohms stereo

150 wpc @ 8 ohms bridged mono.

The Mc 502 features seperate gain controls for each channel, the Mcintosh "powerguard" feature & the "sentry monitor" feature, the amp also has front located power on/off switch & headphone jack plus speaker on/off switching.

The glass face on this amp is very clean with zero bubbling in the glass or silk screen, the walnut cabinet is also in very nice condition, not perfect because new would be perfect but the case is truly sweet, the condition of the amplifier is very very clean, all lights & functions work as they should.

Using the Audiogon grading scale for used gear i will safely rate this amp a solid 7 of 10,dont be alarmed by a 7 rating,go to Audiogon & see what a 7 really is,a 10 rating is for new gear only,a rating of 7 is fantastic condition & i always rate my gear consertively to be safe.

I bought 3 of these amplifiers & im keeping 2 of them to give to my son to use as monoblocks,im asking $300 for the amp & cabinet plus shipping costs VIA UPS or FEDEX,this price is ultra firm as the amp will bring between $400 to $500 on Audiogon so i will not entertain lowball offers.

I will give members here at AH first chance at this amp before it goes off to Audiogon.

I dont do paypal,no way jose,i will accept personal check or money order,i also have buko references on Audiogon for high end gear.

More details can be found at Roger Russell's Mcintosh history web site below.

Hi Mike, the Mc502 is a non metered amp with a black glass face & green back light lettering & red led's.

The Mc502 model is a really nice little Mac amp.

Not all amp's run hot no matter the brand, its more of a design issue over brand name.

With that being said most Mac amp's run very cool but they do have a few models that get hot but the Mc502 is not one of them,it runs very cool all the time.
