We just got a home theater installed by magnolia. They installed a 50 inch plasma in the corner (only palce it could go) and all the speakers save for the sub were are in the ceiling. Pioneer elite reciever.

Again, all the speakers are in the ceiling. how is thsi setup? Did they do it correctly?

Well, it's hard to say 'correct' when the sofa position isn't correct for the corner mounting of the TV. The surounds are as good as they can be for the couch but the couch isn't right. The surrounds should be behind - but the couch is against the wall.

Yeah, thats the only position for the sofa. The sofa couldn't be placed directly across the tv on the diagonal, it would obstruct a fireplace.

Is that the best solution for the setup we have?

thanks

From that sketch, it seems to be. How does it sound to you?

The thing is, you can't move the speakers, right? I think it could be better, but it's acceptable from what I see in the drawing.

Yeah - I'd say if the TV and couch have to be where they are, then that's about as good as you can do.

Classic example of having to compromise for real life situations. That should work just fine as long as you never rearrange your furniture.

By the way; that couch looks uncomfortable...
