Hehhehe thats what Im heading for... gotta figure out what speakers im gunna get for In-walls...

When Im just chillin in bed, and I got all those movies and music I can stream from my server, not to mention all the HD channels, and more coming soon....
Should be quite comfy..

She relly surprised me last night; she took the audioholics test and knows a lot more about our set up then I thought. She scored in the upper 60's. She even started arguing over the resolution of the bedroom LCD...

Is your home a "great room" floor plan, or does it have separate living/family rooms? Those darned 'great room' floor plans usually turn into theater killers if a spouse is involved.
As long as you have a family room, you have a fighting chance.

Yeah.... Im really trying to go all out... I have so many things to accomplish in this place... My first house, but it is such a cool setup/layout. I really got lucky, with the market..

But it seems, that I keep spending more and more money on audio/HT, and I am neglecting to do more decorating, and painting...

I don't plan on really leaving here for a long, long, long, long time...
So I have the ability to take my time without a spouse saying "we need this, and this, and this...."

I really have to get going on my back deck for my Hot Tub. So many projects, so little time/money...

Well tracking told me that it wouldn't be to my house until monday, but it also told me it was in town, so I called up BAX here in Milwaukee, and they said, "Hell yes, come on down..." So I DID JUST THAT....
Seeing as Babel is coming over tonight, I would employ him with food and drink to get him to carry it into my house with me... He should be quite surprised.

Dam thing is sitting in my Tahoe all boxed up and Im dying to get a look at it...
Still at work until 6Pm here... grrrrr
I already got all the cables all ready to hook it up and see what happens in the room... Can't wait to see what that Piano Black looks like... PRETTY !!!!

Ordered it Wed. Shipped Thursday, arrived Milwaukee, Friday, Picked it up on Saturday, otherwise I would have had to wait until Monday.... Nothin doin....

well, I just left warp's place and I have to say... that piano black is freakin awesome lookin!

the plus/2 has ALOT of output but with another plus in the room... wow... just wow... really filled in the gaps that u never knew were there.

I can't wait to get my setup.. he had everything that I have been researching and did a great demo.. his system is amazing.... (so is his house!)

he and his son (warp jr) are great hosts too.. and a great chef...

(thats my review of my grand visit to warps pad... definately gives me hope for my future setup thanks for having us out! we really enjoyed it)

Well.... I think the audition went very well....

Babel and his lovely wife came by my house early this evening and was totally thrilled with the setup... we had a great time over cocktails, and food...
Hey buddy, come out to the truck, I got a surprise for ya... hehehhehe
He helped me unpack the New little contender and we placed it into position, and I proceeded to do level setup with the SPL meter. Got it dialed in perfectly. Running about 2-3 db less then the Plus/2, as Ed Mullen suggested, and it blends perfectly. I have never in my life heard a system sound like what I have now... I am just floored with the added performance...
I guess I never thought that I would need more bass in this room, but after setup and some test runs.. OMG... Totally balance out this room with perfect bass... I thought a Plus/2 here was amazing, but the addition of the Plus into the equation was phenomenal.... I never thought the bass was directional here but, now I completely know the difference...

The Gloss Black is absolutely stunning !!!! Thanks SVS for the Overstock deal.
Its alot smaller then the Plus/2 and looks so amazing in the corner right under my rear surround... I had intentionally bought this for my bedroom, but as someone else had suggested that when It come time to move it, I will go through LF withdrawel... HEHHEH

I started out right off the bat with Both tuned to the 20hz tune, and it sounded great, but I then I moved them both to the 16hz tune, and fired up some LF movies.... WOWSERS... the Plus is a bit more nearfield then the Plus/2 and it really fills the gap and balances out the room so well.

Well I think Babel lost his mind.... His wife was incredibly patient, putting up with our psycho bable and extreme sample levels... and movie clips...
WOTW, U-571... Finding Nemo... tons of music....

All in all, I only had to wipe the drool off his face and the mess he left on my couch a couple of times...

I'll leave the rest to Babel, to fill in what he liked or didn't...
Tired and need some sleep...

I'll try to post some pics on monday when I get a freakin day off of work...

hahhahah The Sound quality of the second sub is almost exactly the same...
I didn't notice a difference at all...
With it being closer to my listening position, It fills everything that room was lacking just perfectly.
To pair it up perfectly I probably should have a second Plus/2 in there, and Im not ruling that out right now... but as far as matching it with the Plus/2 it sounds fantastic... If you close your eyes and are not looking around one would never know they were different. It seems that with them both being tuned the same, and they hit the listening postition properly, but I haven't phased them yet...

I have a Velodyne SMS-1 on the way but there were some complications, so Im hoping it will be in next week.... That should help me dial it in properly, and get a better grasp of whats going on in my room.... Im really looking to chart this room, and Im too lazy to do it manually, and with no ability, other then the PEQ to equalize it, I will just hold out for the SMS.

Yeah... its hard to beat the sound in that room... absolutely explosive... !!!
and with that second sub, I couldn't believe how clean it was down low...

We really ran through some great bass heavy stuff, and gave him a great showing of the surround sound... it was alot of fun... glad you could come up and make your cr@p your pants Babel...
