Yamaha YSP-1100

I'm thinking about purchasing this. Does anyone have any experiences with this unit? All info greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find one locally the only one I can find is the smaller 800 model. I would really like to hear one before I purchase thus the reason for this topic.

If space is a constraint, this is nothing short of a miracle, as long as you give it the right room acoustics.

The only thing that concerns me is I do not have a back wall, the kitchen opens to the family room so the full effect may suffer I guess.

If you don't have a back, don't bother with it, needs a wall to do its reflections.

Just get regular speakers, and put the surrounds in the Kitchen. Who needs kitchens anyway?
