greetings,
I'm comparing subs drivers,
15" Titanic III driver
or the Rythmik servo 15" driver. (There is a new one comming out also)

Which would be a better choice? or is there one better that I haven't seen yet?
Sound quality means more the volumn, but I like a powerful bass also.
:)

Well, sound quality and SPL are two separate things, but that does not mean that you can't have one without the other.

That being said, I am interested to know what people will recommend; because I am in a similar position, in that I an trying to decide between those two subs as well (and a JL Audio DIY too  ).

If I were doing a fairly inexpensive DIY subwoofer, I would give JL Audio's 13W3v3 a really serious look. It is extremely linear and offers excellent output capability. It would do very well in an eq'ed sealed setup or low tuned ported system.

As for the Titanic MkIII it is a really nice subwoofer. I did one for my parents in the 3.0 ft^3 sealed enclosure and Dayton 500 watt rms amplifier from parts express and it turned out really nice. I have not heard the Rythmic but I would use the Dayton in my own system.

Dayton makes the RS series of sub drivers, including 10, 12, and 15" subs (Dayton RSS390HF-4), which probably sound better but not quite as loud as the Titanic Mk III subs. People who've heard both the RS and the Titanic subs seem to agree that the RS subs are cleaner sounding.

You might also look at sub drivers made by TC Sounds. They make a large variety of excellent drivers, and their website also has detailed plans for cabinets. The TC-1000 is similarly priced to the Dayton RS drivers. Judging only by looks, I wouldn't be surprised if Rythmik buys it drivers from TC Sounds.
