What do they termnate them with?

I believe I've seen some that use 1/8" mini plugs. If that's your situation, you can buy a cheap earplug (not earphone) mono extention cord from RatShack.

If RatShack doesn't sell 'em any more (I can't find 'em on their web site) or you can't find on on a local rack, then this should help. http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/mini-plug_cables.html Stereo will work just as well.

Glad it worked out and I'm even more happy they stil sell these. They are more usefiul than the shak realizes, or maybe they do. I used these for an extention for a power supply on a powered antenna a few years ago. Some things are just so useful when used for purposes other than that for which they are advertised.

Yeah, I walked in there an asked if he had an 1/8" headphone extension cord and he asked how long of run I needed. They had 6, 12 and 20 foot lengths in stock.

I live about a mile from a Radio Shack store so it's easy for me to pop over there. After reading Matt's post I looked in spare or no longer used cable drawer. It's amazing how much one accumulates over the years. Besides the 1/8" cables I also have the extender thingies for putting two together.

Well it sounds like the problem is solved but I would have thought it required a cable with a 1/8" MONO plug on each end. From the picture it appears that the emitter cable definitely has a mono plug (only one stripe).

So a stereo headphone extension cable works just fine?

You can use a stereo for a mono signal. but it doesn't work the other way around.

Check out the tip/ring/sleeve diagram of these babies sometime. ll you need it the tip and ring for mono. For stereo you need tip, ring and sleeve
