Upgrade SVS PC Ultra??

HI All,
I am the owner of an SVS Ultra sub. The sub is amazing but I am considering making the upgrade in early May to the newly designed Ultra. Anyone else jumping on the boat? I hate to buy something before it's even reviewed but the intro price coupled with the 10% discount makes it quite attractive.

Any thoughts?

I am not sure if the pre-order price is 10% off the intro price. From what I understood it was the intro price OR (for returning customers only) 10% off from the retail price. (I could be mistaken)

I am planning on doing the pre-order also... (though I am not a returning customer)

babelfish is right. it's either the intro price OR 10% discount on the retail price for returning customers or those who will buy more than one

Thanks for the info. I was trying to decide if I should also buy a speaker package to get an extra 10% off of the intro price. Now, I don't need to agonize. Good to know.

I'm not a current owner, but I've been waiting for the new Ultras for about a year now. They should be awesome. However, if you think that you're current sub is amazing, then I'd say stick with it. I'm only going to order one because I'm not happy with my sub.

I am happy with the sub but there is always room to improve As long as it's worth the investment for the upgrade I'll be happy

I'm tentatively ordering two boxes ... but that depends on what they look like, I'm waiting for real pictures to be posted.

I would love to get two boxes but the budget can't afford it (i also think it would be way overkill for me). I guess I could swing it if I got the Paradigm 40s instead of the 100s and use the money saved for another sub...

I think I will just get the 100s and if I find out that the 1 sub isn't enough then I will look into getting another one. (but two would be awesome!)

may I ask why you are getting two? do u have a huge room to fill? just curious.

not sure about the room size, but i'm pretty sure it exceeds 4000 cu. ft.

I'm sure one would be sufficient, but with two, I'll get the flexibility of tuning low. oh, and I'm a bass freak. never had two of the same subs ... but two ultras puts me in shooting range of a second DD18. hmmm.

if you are going to use your setup more for HT and less of music, between the 100 and 40, I'd choose the studio 40. even with music, if you are not going 2.0 listening, the 40s plus sub would still be good enough.

2 of those ultras would be way overkill in babel's small room but would be awe inspring, As well as those 40's would probably work just fine for his small room as well...
They should easily be able to fill that room, and cross over just fine...
And you could find good quality stands that won't break the bank like those Paradigm stands which will put you really close to the price of the 60's.

Nothing wrong with saving some Cash... I do it whenever I can...
