HDTV antenna

Ok, current situations mean Im now in a apartment with no Antenna jack. So I need some kind of an indoor antenna to pick up HDTV (I cant live without LOST in HD) I dont want to spend a million dollars, the cheaper the better. It has to look decent as well. Thanks for any help.

All you need is a UHF antenna.

If your stations are fairly local, RatShak sells a "stacked bow tie" indoor antenna that looks ugly as squat but works wonderfully and is quite cheap.

Ok so if it helps (Im guessing its just bad news) Im 26 miles away from just about every antenna.

most of the DTV stations are still UHF, but a few are now VHF as well, so if your antenna shopping, I'd go with a UHF/VHF of appropriate size...

Yeah I was on that site already, thats how I got the info that Im 26 miles away. Basicly Im gonna need a lagre directinal antenna? The apartment Im in has Direct TV, but you cant get local HD channels with them can you? All I want to do is watch LOST in HD, is that too much to ask?

antenna for you.
It's home made and can pick up OTA broadcast HD signals UHF and VHF. It works a lot better than any store bought antenna I have ever used!

It is small enough to sit behind or under your TV, behind a couch or even in a closet.

For digital TV reception over 26 miles you don't need a large directional TV antenna. A Winegard Squareshooter might work for you. I bought one this winter and mounted it in my attic. I live outside of Washington, DC and this antenna easily gets all the stations in both DC and Baltimore, which is about 40 miles away.

OK, I admit it not really an indoor antenna, but it is small, 16" x 16", and you can mount it anywhere you could put an 18" satellite dish.

If you really don't want that, maybe a Winegard SS-3000 might work. I haven't used one, so read the link for yourself.
