Pioneer Overload Help

I am sure this is a simple question, but I need some help. My Dads Pioneer amp keeps overloading when he is listening to his outdoor speakers. The out door speakers are on the B side and have not problem playing audio from the TV but when he puts it on CD or the radio it play for a couple of min. and then overloads. I am not sure what other information I should include, but does anyone have any thoughts?

If he is playing A & B at the same time he probably is truly overloading the amp. A 2nd zone needs to be used for the outside speakers if possible. If not possible; he needs to use a speaker selector box or impendence volume controls.

He is not using both A and B at the same time when it is overloading. He is able to listen to the TV on either A or B and we tried listening to it no both at the same time with the volume cranked for some time with no problem. But when selects his source as Tuner or CD, with only the B side selected, the music will play for a couple of min. and then overload. I think what confuses me the most is that he can listen to Sirius through the TV on both A and B at the same time or separately at different volume ranges with no problem. But any other source and it’s overloading after a couple of min.?? ??

Have you checked all the connections? There isn't a stripped piece of speaker B wire that is hitting the chassis on the back of the amp? Did the speaker B's work fine before or have they done this as soon as they were hooked up?

i had a similar prob,with a+b on and the volume down low it worked fine,but with it turned up it overloaded i tracked it down to a shorted speaker wire.so check you wires.
