Bose Speakers

My friends do not believe me that bose speakers are r8 ****. Would everyone please help me out to put them in their place!

I TELL THEM THAT THEY SUCK AND SHOW THEM ALL THE FACTS BUT THEY ARE LIKE(AND THIS IS A STRAIGHT QUOTE) "bose speakers are top of the line" so i just need other people to back me up on this.

It's not up to you to educate them, they will realize when you show them a better system anyway.

Please, just don't worry about your friends. I finally had to drag a Bose lover to my system and make him listen, then tell him that mine was half the price of his Bose dream system. That got his attention.

Let's take it easy on the Bose fans. As much as I hate to admit it, I used to sell Bose products - and sold a lot of them! Different strokes for different folks. If their priority is asthetics first, brand name recognition second, and sound quality last, then Bose is perfect for them. Let them live in their own blissful ignorance. In the meantime, I listen contently to my Martin Logans.

Bose cube speaker systems meet the needs of some people that want small and unobtrusive speakers but as most people here will say they are junk when you consider the price. If aesthetics trump performance and cost is no object, Bose is as good a choice as any.

I can't tell you the number of times I walked through houses with Bose Acoustimass systems when I was looking for a house where the homeowners had the left and right speakers to the right of the center speaker and the surrounds on the fireplace on the same plane as the front speakers.

Those are the kinds of people that are attracted to Bose cube systems. The kind that think as long as you have 5 speakers, you can place them anywhere. If they are placed properly, they do an OK job, but for the money you can of course do much better.

EBay is the place to sell such systems and you can probably recoup near the full price paid for them.
