Hi Folks,
Can anyone suggest which interconnects (for Outlaw 7075 to Outlaw 990) are best for about $100- $150. I need 7 of them and want to keep the price down. Just running a country boy setup and want to keep it simple. Plus the wife... Well y'all know the deal. Thanks for any info.

Hi Mtrycrafts,
Went to the site and I need to know if I should run analog or digital cables. Will the digital carry both signals? Thanks for the help.

If you're just connecting your preamp to your amp, you only need 'analog' cables, as you are dealing with an analog signal. However, any 'digital' interconnect will function just fine as an analog connection (assuming it has the proper termination).

Thanks for the input. How do you feel about these XLR/RCA cables for connecting balanced lines to unbalanced lines? Any better? I've been looking at the Impact Accoutics Pro cables. Any info on that product? Oh yeah. I totally relate to your signature. Thanks again

Hi all,
After going thru many articles and suggestions, I decided to go with the BJC 1694A multi channel cables for my interconnects. I think they are the best for my situation. Can't wait to hook them up. Thanks.

I would agree that unbalanced is the way to go. To properly use the XLR inputs from RCA outs, each cable would have to run through a transformer to balance the lines. This is just added cost without an advantage for you.

wow, thats a lot of money for a cable. FYI, i have used both BJC and monoprice cables in my setup. the 50' DVI cable i got from monoprice performed better than the 25' DVI cable from BJC (yes, half the distance and a few dollars more). on the same exact system the BJC produced specles on my screen that the monoprice cable didnt. i have never used BJC audio cables, but the $12 i spent on balanced cables for my 990/M2200, and another $8 for 3 sets of RCA cables for my SACD (Marantz DV9600) setup leaves a lot of change in the bank for other stuff. don't get me wrong, BJC makes really nice stuff, but i doubt you would notice a difference between the two brands.

Just hooked up the Blue Jeans 1694A interconnects, DVI to HDMI series II, and LC-1 subwoofer cables. I must have been using really cheap cables or they were the wrong ones for my system because what I am hearing now is amazing. First thing I noticed was the bass being produced more. The sound seems crisper and more defined and the picture is way better than before. Slowly I'm going to convert all my cabling, but for now I'm good. Thanks for all your help. Will keep posting the changes I make as this system evolves. Thanks again.
