Anyone heard this new single from Rush. It's available at iTunes for download and the new album should be out in May.

It's amazing to see how this group still keeps making great music. To see what Neal has gone through, and still keep moving forward is a pretty impressive thing.

When he lost his wife & daughter so close together, I thought that would be the end of it, that Peart would call it quits; I'm happy he's found the strength to keep doing what he's done.

I was going to ask 'what has Neal gone through' but I guess now I know. That is tough no matter how you look at it. Maybe his love for music helps him deal with tragedy in other parts of his life.

Life sucks when you lose the ones you love.

Not only new album, NEW TOUR!! They're going to be all over North America and Western Europe. You can check dates at their website.
I don't like them as much as I used to, but they still put a mighty show with a very broad set list.

I've never been a huge Rush fan, but I like some of their stuff. I've never bought one of their albums, but I'll listen to their stuff when it comes on the radio. I did just see a concert on INHD that was filmed in Germany. I think it was fairly recent, (2 or 3 years old). It was a good show. You definitely can't argue with their musical ability.

Hi,
I have heard 'Far Cry' and I am looking forward to the rest of the album. I have seen Rush in concert several times (4 or 5) over the years and I own most of their catalog. In fact i just ordered the Alex Lifeson solo album. The new single has gotten me kind of excited to see Rush again. I was a bit disappointed by their last studio album, Vapor Trails. But I am considering seeing them again this time around. They do put on a great concert.:D I would recommend that if you are interested in seeing them live, go for it. I don't think you will be disappointed. Heck, the drum solo alone is worth it.

Gotta love Neal.... man is amazing...

Growing up just north of milwaukee, I had a buddy of mine that would play him to a T... I would start walkin up his driveway and hear Rush, and just figured it was the stereo, but the closer I got, the more I felt the impact of his awesome drum set... I could never tell the difference between Him and Neal..

He was so amazing, and after some distance got between us, I find out later he gave up the drums... Now there aren't alot of people that could replicate Neal Peart very well, much less perfectly...
I even had the chance to sit in with him jammin with Daryl Stuermer(Genesis amongst other things), how he could give that talent up, just blows my mind....

I have seen Rush in concert a number of times, and you have to admit, that there are not alot of bands that can provide a full sound with 3 memebers like RUSH !!!! Can't wait for the new tour... :)

Rush Snakes and Arrows Tour

I guess they're about half way through the '07 tour by now. They came to Chicago last week and played an awesome concert at an outdoor place that used to be called Tweeter Center, the new name is too long to remember, the something bank amphitheater.
The concert rocks. The set is a little over 2.5hrs long with a 1/2hr intermission. They play songs from virtually every era, with emphasis on the classics with a few surprises, like Witch Hunt.
If you're ambivalent about seeing them live, stop wondering and buy your ticket. It's a great value, it's a great show, even my friend's wife loved it.

I will chime in and say, if you haven't seen a Rush show, you need to. (Anyone)
I have the Rush in Rio dvd. While it's a great show, it doesn't capture the feel of the live show. While they are among the best musicians in rock, if not the best technically, they give you more than the music. It is an event!;)

By all means, get the rest of the album. Far Cry is just the beginning. This CD is well written, tightly performed and excellently produced. I love the depth and texture of their sound. They must use every effect know but they do it really well. I would recommend other songs from the album but they are almost all good and the whole thing sticks together well. I would hate to call it concept album but since they started in the 70's I guess that isn't far off.
