I am going to have to do this piece mill, so I bought a Penny ax100u projector and 2 Canton LE 130s, for the rears, and a Canton LE 150 CM, for the front center. I am going to buy a receiver next and then save for two tower speakers infront.

My question is what do you think would be a good reciever to match the type of speakers I purchased????

As for the towers I was thinking of getting the Canton GLE 407. What do you think???

Welcome Fellow Canton Owner

Canton makes VERY nice speakers. You will be happy with that selection.

The receiver choice depends primarily on three things:

1. Budget
2. The efficiency of your speakers
3. Are you going to add a sub and then set your speakers to "small" (usually the best choice)

The good news is that there are very good AV receivers starting at around $500. Fill in the blanks on those three things and you will get some good (mostly)suggestions.

[Edit] I see that the answer to question two is in MazerSteven's post.

Yes, I defiantly need a sub. Which brings up another question, I converted my garage to a theater room, so the floor is obviously conceret. Will this affect the type of sub I should buy???

Thanks for the help!!!!!!

You "DEFIANTLY" need a sub?

"Dammit. I don't care what anyone says, I'm buying a frickin' sub!!!"

Sorry man, I just had to bust your chops a bit on that one. Yeah, just like no. 5 said, the type of floor in your room does nothing to change the type of sub you should get. Basically a sub's a sub. What it does change is how critical speaker placement and room treatment will affect your sound.

so going back to my questions, what's a good reciever for around $500... will a $500 reciever be good enough to support my canton speakers???

You could get a nicer refurbed Harman Kardon (with full pre-outs) and 2 Behringer A500 amps for around $500. Just PM me if you are interested and I'll show you how.

Or you could go with a single integrated receiver, which would be easier but wouldn't have as much power.

Any Denon, Yamaha or Onkyo receiver in your price range should work just fine. Receivers in a given price range are pretty generic these days, so it's not something to worry about too much.
