Genesis Media Labs?

Hello,
I am looking for some information and hope that you all can be of help to me.

My boyfriend has a friend who is selling genesis home media labs G610s at a deeply discounted price. He is selling them for $700 and they retail on this website[\url] for $5200.

I've looked on the internet for information and reviews about the company, and oddly enough (true to my suspicions) I only find things about a "white van scam".

I also don't want to spend $700 on something that is a piece of crap.

So, my questions are: 1. Is this a scam? 2. Are they any good? 3. Did the friend get scammed and he doesn't know hes scamming us, or is this intentional?

Have your boyfriend ask some serious questions of his friend. Do you know how long they have known each other? Maybe he doesn't know either? Or he does and wants to off load it?
