Florida Minimum Wages

The Federal (US) minimum wage for covered, nonexempt employees is $5.15 per hour. In Florida it is $6.67 per hour and $3.65 for "tipped" employees. It changes in Florida every January 1st based on a the Federal CPI.

Could I survive if I earned this.............................NO!

My wife is from the Philippines. She has a 4 year degree and was working 6 days a week at a decent college. She made just over 20 US$ per week. That was back in 2000. Now she complains about only making $13/hr here. And rightfully so.

in our household we make a very good living and its still not enough. Can't imagine it! There are times I wish that I could do more for my family, but that doesn't include your basic everyday needs:(.

I agree,$13 an hour isnt enough for a 4 yr degree:mad: ,the gap between the upper class & regular folk widens daily in the USA,the middle class are just about out of the picture for good.

It's impossible, we have have more "working poor" now than ever, and the middle class The Backbone of our country is slowling being destroyed, here in Miami unless you already own a home or have money you can't find single family homes that are remotely affordable.
