Component Video inputs.

I'm in process of setting up and assigning my component video inputs for my Pioneer VSK-515 and see that the default is Comp 1 - DVD and Comp 2 - TV.

I will run my DVD player into Comp 1 but would like Comp 2 to be my Xbox 360, looking in the manual at the input assign menu I see the choices are DVD, TV, CD, DVR or OFF. What should I choose for the Xbox?

Does it allow you to create new titles?

If so, then there's your answer.

If not, plug the Xbox into Comp 2 and you'll have to assign some pre-existing tag that's available and remember what it is. When you wanna use the Xbox, select that input, whatever it is.

Mark-

are you saying that choosing a tag for it is strictly for identification purposes? As far as the receiver knows if I call the Xbox a DVR it's not going to tell me that it's not one?

Yes. What it's called won't change what it is.

Yes. It doesn't know or care what's attached to the unit. All it needs to knows is what type of signal is being fed to what input. They just put those labels the user's convenience. Why they don't offer one labeled "game" or some such is beyond me but time changes everything.

Thanks Mark.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help and that it's finally all set up.
