New to audioholics - Not new to A/V

Just joined this forum.

From my initial perusing, this forum doesn't seem as "terse & edgy" as some of the other Home theater forums.

Hope to learn & contribute.

And - ...hoping in vain someday to play HDTV movies at my house, without having to explaing to my wife why I just spent four figures on two players and a few movies

If you are waiting for some day for HD movies and players, under 4 figures, may not have to wait long. Sony indicated they will have something very reasonable by this summer. And, I bet the other format will follow by then too.
