Seeking Discrete Codes for Denon DVD3930

On my Denon DVD3930, the function "Pure Direct Select" toggles between normal, mode 1, mode 2, all off. The function "HDMI Format" toggles between auto, 480/576i, 480/576p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p.

Does anyone know if/how I can get my hands on respective hex codes? Denon sent them to me for my AVR3805, for the commands 0.0db, -20dB and -40dB. I then sent the hex codes to Logitech Harmony support, and they added the IR codes into my account. I believe these 3 codes are now available for anyone w/ compatibile Denon AVRs (and a Harmony remote, of course).

I should be able to do the same thing again, but need the codes. Twice I called Denon tech support, got 2 different agents, and neither even knew how to find out if the codes existed.

If Denon does support discrete codes for those functions http://www.remotecentral.com is as good a place as any to find out if anyone knows what they are.

You can always program macros to get around the toggle if you can't find discrete codes.

Thanks. Yeah, I tried that site. Not sure how I would create macros without having a base. In other words, sometimes I come in to watch a DVD-V and my player's "Pure Direct Select" mode is off, or it could be normal. Same with my "HDMI Format". I can come in to watch a movie and find my player in 480/576p or 720p. There is no consistent baseline with either function.

To make it worse, these seem to be the **only** 2 functions on my player that don't respond consistently to my Harmony 880. Sometimes they toggle 1 position, sometimes 2. I have the appropriate setting on my 880 set to "0", so don't believe anything else can be done.

If I had a discrete codes, all would be great!!! Thanks for your help.

Yeah, it wouldn't be possible to use a macro to select one of the states if you cannot reliably start from a known state. I thought maybe you knew of a workaround to get the selection in a starting state.

Turned out to be user-error! I mistakenly used 'raw' when learning these commands (they were not already in the Harmony database). I guess I held the button down too long on the origial remotes, thus causing the 880 to send a double command. After Harmony deleted the problem-causing learned commands, I relearned the commands (non-raw), and the 2 toggles at least now behave as expected. That's a significant improvement.

Yeah, I wish I did. The player always turns on in the state in which it was turned off... It never resets to 'normal', for example.
