Is the Wolfgang bassist, Eddie's son?
Yup, speaking of underoos.:D

Color me less than excited about the reunion. I'm a casual VH fan. The David Lee Roth version I felt put out the more "fun" songs, while the Sammy Hairball version seemed to have a bit more substance to their music. And the guy after that, forgot his name and don't even care, let's just forget all about him all together.

I just heard on the radio; the tour is indefinately posponed.
Kinda sounded like Diamond Dave is missing from the mix.??? Go figure.

It was all Valerie Bertinelli's fault.

It took a woman to break up a group of party animal guys
She was worth it, though. Face it, the lady is hot.:D

????????????????

Those guys turned down better tail than that every night.
When DLR used to show up in town to visit his brother, all hell broke loose.

I was one of the many teenagers (a long time ago) who had her poster. She was so sexy that it bordered on pornography, in spite of her being fully clothed.:D

I stopped listening to Van Halen after DLR left the group. He kept them grounded in my opinion, the songs were fun and had that tongue-in-cheek quality that completely disappeared after he left. Man, they just took themselves too seriously after that. Or Eddie felt that they weren't serious enough and that's why DLR was canned. Eddie is a freak, the guy is certifiable.

Good summary, and it agrees with how I feel about them. Was anything by Van Hagar ever half as much fun as "Ice Cream Man", for example? (FWIW I was never a Sammy Hagar solo fan either.)

Amen to that!

The cheek was just like THAT and most probably that was the main cause for the guy's blown-fuse-breakdown... who knows anyway??

Well, I am thinking differently about this. I think it's all a publicity stunt to get the buzz going about the reunion. I still think it's going to happen.

I just started getting the early VH CD's in remasters to replace the old recordings. Is it me or is the remasterers mixed awfully bright  Not all the material, but "Woman and Children First" seems very bright!

I saw them like 3 years ago when hagar was touring with them. He actually did some DLR songs (I don't know if he has always done them or if it was just for this reunion tour), but his heart wasn't in it, and his own songs already suck basically. Eddie and Alex's solos are really the best part of the show... Alex almost brings shame to Bonham's moby ****. Besides that, Right now has always been a favorite, and was one of their better songs of the night, along with panama.

Eddie also brought wolfgang on stage and did a guitar duet... the kid's not bad for being like 15 years old, although it definitely seems like buzzkill for a band that is notoriously rowdy and overly inappropriate. MA covers most of the backup vocals, and now that he's gone I wonder what the impact will be?

Wasn't it a guy named Gary Cherone, who sang for Extreme? I didn't follow VH much after DLR left.
Yup. that's the guy.
Coincidently, The local radio staion up here, WAPL, in honor of the VH induction to the hall of fame, is having an all day VH marathon. Van Halen A to Z, minus three.
Reportedly every VH song in alphabetical order except those from Van Halen 3; The release featuring the artist previously known as forgettable.:D

I take it you mean the Extreme album.?
He does have a good voice. Probably technically better than his VH predecessors. It simply wasn't built to compete with the dynamics of DLR or the range of Sammy.
I just don't know what Eddie and the boys were thinking.... Maybe because he's a bit more, well a lot more normal, than the first two?
