receiver upgrade

whats the pro's and cons guys? yamaha rx-v659 vs denon avr 3806. Do i keep the 659 or upgrade to the 3806?
i have been reading conflicting reviews(3806) about set-up and hdmi. Is it all that bad?

Do you really need HDMI? If you don't really need it, keep the Yamaha.

I was getting the 3806 for about $800. Thought it was a deal that's why i was going for it; so later when i get a larger place and a newer tele i wouldn't have to upgrade.

It would be wiser to upgrade when you get the TV. Two reasons come to mind. First technology in receivers will be different by the time you decide to make another receiver purchase. Two, you could get that same receiver you are looking at now for a lot less if you wanted to save some dough.
