How about we start the TURKEY OF THE YEAR AWARD, it's simple:

Find the most outrageous and ridiculous a/v product listed for sale and post, it could be new magic cables, CDs that burn in your system, liquid applied to DVDs and CDs that "extract" audible nuances (I'm not kidding this stuff is for sale in a "high-fi" catalog), markers for CDs, well you get the drift. Then say about Thanksgiving time we can count the votes and see who won the biggest, baddest TURKEY. We don't have to notify the dealer, manufacturer, etc. that they won this most coveted award, to keep things civil. We can set an annual gallery of past and present winners. And if Gene and the gang say it's ok we can send a hearty congratulations to the lucky party, but only if they say it's okay.:D

Can we do it? Hey everybody has awards for everything why not AUDIOHOLICS?!
I`ll nominate the Olive music server which has a high failure & glitch rate. The co. seems totally clueless in addressing these issues.

Go figure, plumbers have a better handle on snake oil gimmicks than the the A/V elites! At least plumbers know when and where to apply it!:D

Really? We actually really liked that unit and had a model in house for months with no problems...

I guess that I'll keep track of all the nominees and towards the end of November of next year I'll tally up to see who wins.:D

Hey Yettitheman,

We're trying to find the most ridiculous product in A/V, we're scouring all over the place and later next year we'll be awarding the Turkey of the Year Award:D

Take a gander at these $800 "tuning feet" for amps & cd players.

http://www.combak.net/feet&bases/FEET&BASES.htm#new

I ran across the most expensive POS tweak a few years back,im still searching for it & if i find it i'll post a link, these things i saw(damn if i can remember the name) looked like the 99 cent brass incense burners that can be bought at any dollar store but they were some majic tuning device & they cost about $1,000 each.
