How close are we to WWIII?

An interesting perspective on US Foreign policy at the 25 minute mark. What is really scary is short sightedness of the American public which can be summed up by a poll which indicates that the American public is bored with the Iran war. How can an American be bored if 1) there are American servicemen laying their lives down for an unnecessary and illegal war, 2) the US economy going to slide into a depression, 3) the US is one of the least trusted countries in the world, and 4) and related to the previous point, the most hated country in the world. I don’t understand the apathy of the US public.

I noticed that the draconian treatment of the Palestinian people by the Israeli Nazis still goes unmentioned in these forums and this is a direct reflection of the Western attitude towards the Palestinian people. ALL the CIA analysts and geopolitical analysts I have been watching have stated that Iran is the ONLY country to stand up for the Palestinians. Let’s be very clear about one thing. The Israelis in the last twenty years have been committing genicide under the false guise of security threats but it’s really apparent that Israel has ambitions greater than itself. Judging by how the Iranians have been targeting military installations in this war as opposed to targeting civilians like the Israeli Nazis have been doing, I rather trust Iran than those lying bastards in the Israeli administration any Israeli civilian that supports their administration. Western propaganda towards Iran is well entrenched I see. If Iran slaughtered as many civilians as Israel has and is currently doing, the western world would have taken arms against Iran. But hey its Israel. We'll turn a blind eye towards this and blame that evil empire called Iran.
Please don't interpret my criticism of the Iranian regime as sympathy for the Israeli one. While they had a right too respond to the Hamas attack, they long ago exceeded anything like a reasonable response. I don't know if the death and destruction meted out by Israeli forces meets the strict definition of genocide, but the term has been abused as much as "woke" has, rendering it down to an epithet to be tossed at people we don't like. Regardless, whether it is a genocide or not, it makes no difference to the 70,000+ Gazans who have died since this started.

Ironically, while the Iranian government may not be targeting civilians in other countries, the same can't be said about their own people. And, the groups it supports (Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis) have no such qualms either.

When you cut off medicine, food, and water and attempt to starve them out, it’s genicide.

Netanyahu made a deal with Hamas to prevent the Palestinian Authority from forming a government and then reneged on Hamas. Typical Israeli move.

Hezbollah and the Houthis have primarily attacked military targets, not civilian ones.

Aid has certainly been restricted to a such degree that there is a massive shortfall - inexcusably so - but it has NOT been "cut off".

Netanyahu's "deal" with Hamas came to an end when the later bit the hand that was feeding it.

Hezbollah and the Houthis have primarily attacked military targets, not civilian ones.
"Primarily" is doing some heavy lifting here. Hezbollah and the Houthis have certainly fired up on civilian targets.

I am not defending Israel, just pointing out that there are no innocent parties in this conflict. Well, the civilians just trying to survive, sure. But otherwise...nah.

I’ll respond when I’m back on a computer. Currently enjoying my stay at the trailer with just a cell phone.

This a very interesting point that would have never made US or Canadian mainstream media news. At the 32 minute mark, it describes how Trump made a deal with China for China not buy oil but live off of their reserves to keep in attempt to keep oil prices from going through the roof. China agreed to the deal providing that Trump and the US honor the MOU. Naturally, Trump broke the agreement and China is back on the oil market. Trump and his freak show administration needs to be removed from power before they totally destroy the US and the Western economies. Trump’s USA cannot be trusted at all and both Iran and China have learned this lesson.

I have this time stamped where Pape shows a graph of Iran's increasing demands from the time the war started to now. Next there's an SPR graph followed by Iran's three points of security with the different canals. So basically what Pape is saying is yeah there's countries nearby trying to create pipelines to avoid Iran, but Iran is trying to place a stranglehold on those points of travel.

I'll give Mario credit for having John on (I wouldn't have), but I don't agree with his argument because he doesn't give any specifics as to how we didn't do enough to squash Iran. It reminds me of Bolton when he said we needed to just keep bombing Iran harder and harder. Without considering we might be running out of munitions, or our minitions are being spread out to help other countries. Then there's SPR and gas prices, public favor, etc John doesn't consider. Like other war hawks, it seems they end up saying we didn't try hard enough. I think what I would do is ask him how much time do you need till this is no longer a viable option.
