The amount of Israeli influence on the American government is staggering and both Democrats and Republicans are to blame for the Iran war.

It’s not bigger, just different and there are no surprises there.

I’m just happy in the knowledge that the world now sees Israel as a fascist state full of hate and are no different than the SS of WW2 Germany.
I wish Iran would wipe clean once and for all, Israel’s military so that the peace talks can resume and push Israel back to being an irrelevant state that it truly is.

Just how are the Democrats to blame?
If you watched the video, you ‘ll have your answer. Putting it another way, Israel has been spying and exerting influence on the US political system for more than 20 plus years as a minimum, long enough for BOTH parties to be affected. It’s a very nieve opinion to think that bad people only exist in the Republican Party.
Im Canadian and tend to side with the liberal party here in Canada which is more in line with the Democrats in the US. However, I’m not nieve enough to think that there are no bad people in the liberal party.

Oh, thought you meant particularly drumphy's war in Iran....yes, the US is complicit in the affairs of too many countries going back too far....Iran is just one we've come back to several times.

This is an interesting watch and between 25 minute to 28 minute mark shows the extent of Israeli influence in shutting down access to real news about what was going on in Palestine

I would also like to add that Rapkin, a Canadian Jew comments about the state of affairs of Jewish people living in Iran and how they were being left alone to peacefully practice their faith. The Iranians and their government are able to differentiate between Zionism ( which they are intolerant of ) and the people of the Jewish faith who want nothing to do with Israel.

This sounds a bit like propaganda itself.

After the humiliating loss of the 1948 Arab League of Nations war on a newly formed Israel approximately 1 million Jews were expelled from the member nations. 350,000 from ~1948 - 51 and the rest over ~15 year period.

The factual point is that in those 5 nations Jewish populations are for all intents non-existent.

And all Zionism is, is the end of Jewish tribalism and the realization it kept them divided and micro-territorial, and came together as a single nation.

And Israel collecting information and pushing their cause in U.S. political circles doesn't surprise me in the least. We still spy and influence our closest allies.

The word "Zionism" was originally defined as belief in a Jewish homeland. That's it, that's all. But now, it has become the new "woke" - a word rendered meaningless, a Rorshach test. It has been shackled with various definitions, all depending on the political and/or religious persuasions of those uttering the term.

The suggestion that Jews lived peacefully throughout the Middle East and North Africa prior to the founding of modern Israel has a solid foundation. However, there have been intermittent pogroms and expulsions of Jews in the region for centuries prior to 1948. As dhimmis, living as second-class citizens, they would never be completely safe in these societies.

While even some Jews don't believe that Israel should have been re-established, the vast majority support it. Looking at the precarious existence they have endured down through the centuries, nobody should be surprised that they would want their old homeland back. That said, some of the policies and actions of the Israeli government over the past few decades are unacceptable.

This is a totally reasonable take. Jewish populations faced a lot of persecution in Europe in 17-19th centuries with a concerted effort to purchase land in the Levant from perfectly willing sellers.

Sellers remorse reared it's ugly head and in early 19th century Arab tribes complained to the Ottoman (Turkey) government and were told to kick rocks. With Ottoman empire waning you have local skirmishes to achieve what they couldn't do politcaly and plenty of vicious back and forth. Certainly no innocent parties.

What Israel got correct was to put aside tribalism. What the Arab League couldn't do. During the 1948 war they would often in-fight and do stupid poop like steal each others arms shipments etc.

FF to today. While I think the notion that Israel response should have been synchronous to the terror attacks, I don't buy into that thought. But it's also not carte blanche to do what ever you want as a response and that point has been passed a long time ago.

And Israel isn't alone is disproportion. Assad Senior massacred 40,000 in the City of Hama just to send a message to the Islamic Brotherhood. The Assad's being predominately Alawite.

Propaganda by who? Propaganda is what Israel is using to draw the US into this war and the baseless lies that Iran is somewhat inherently evil.

Have you watched the video? Zionism has morphed into fascism as both Rapkin and Sachs state and is no longer the tribalism and realization that you state. Its time you get caught up to speed and stop living in the past.

It seems you're quite ok for the US to get suckered into war it had no chance on winning by Israel and the pro Israeli lobbyists. This all stems from spying on the inner circles of the US government and massive cash influxes to these politicians.

Zionism isn't a woke word . Its morphed into a very fascist ideal at the latter part of 1996. as both Sachs and Rapkin support, Rapkin dedicating his whole life studying Zionism. The vast majority of Jews living outside of Israel don't support the Israeli ideal, especially the ideal that a Jew isn't a Jew unless he moves to Israel. Jews outside of Israel practice their faith unlike the majority of Jewish people in Israel who practice the idea of a greater Israel obtained through wars and ethnic cleansing.

Not ok at all with getting further entrenched in the middle east. My actual solution is to develop energy independence and extract as much from the middle east as possible.

On the spying and cash etc... Man that's just BAU AFAIC. Not saying it's right, but accepting it is what it is.

No Zionism isn't a woke word. You missed my point, which it's just another example of a word that has had multiple definitions applied to it.

I agree that meanings of words change through time but my use of it now is not the orginal meaning of the word anymore. Zionism has morphed into something truly evil and hideous as you can plainly see.
