I came across a great deal on Sonus Faber Sonetto LCR and pulled the trigger after listening at a local HiFi store. Sonetto II with stands and center. I know at retail they are a bit over priced but the entire package including stands for far less than the bookshelf’s alone I figured why not. My room is pretty bright and these speakers are pretty warm so I’m crossing my fingers that they blend well. I think I did good.

They sure know how to make a beautiful cabinet. Hope they sound as good as they look.

I auditioned them before I bought them, and as some of the reviews had stated they sound a little hollow in the mid range due to a significant dip. Even with that weakness many have reported that speakers are very EQable. I’m gonna get DLBC for my Denon, I think creating some custom house curves they will be fine. If not, the price I paid I can easily get my money back.

I really like the way my Lumina II Amators sound. Sonus Faber takes a lot of flack in objectivist circles for some tilt upwards at the top end but there are days when I think the Amators are the most pleasing sounding system in the house. Your Sonettos are the next line up. Enjoy.

The Sonetto’s aren’t quite as nice, but they’re still gorgeous. Too many snobs in this world, I’m just looking to enjoy the music again with some gorgeous speakers.
