I don't know as I am using a Pixel. If Malwarebytes says so, it has to be true. They are very reliable at the same level as Bitdefender.

IMO it's better to even receive some false alerts than missing the necessary and useful warnings.

You should ask an Apple phone owner, as I have nothing to do with those scams. I just share what Malwarebytes sends me as one of their customers.

I should ask this in a nearby Apple store then as I/we do have Apple phones but never received an email from Apple. Updates comes though the phone itself like computer software.
