At $50 million a battery and $150k per intercept, Israel would charge a pretty penny to sale them considering they rely on the US to offset that cost.

Regardless of what anti-drone systems European NATO countries possess, or don't possess, they are not helpless and Putin would have to be utterly insane to initiate open war with them - especially with so much of Russia's military assets tied down in Ukraine.

The main reason nobody used poison gas during the 2nd WW was the fear of retaliation. I would hope the same logic would apply vis-à-vis nuclear weapons. I think the biggest risk of mushroom clouds would be if a nuclear power is on the verge of being overrun and decides to go all Götterdämmerung.

Yes, poison gas was used in World War II, primarily by the Imperial Japanese Army in China against both military and civilian targets, and by Nazi Germany for the mass extermination of Jews in the Holocaust using Zyklon B and carbon monoxide in death camps, though Germany avoided large-scale battlefield use due to fear of Allied retaliation in kind. The Allies also prepared chemical weapons but largely refrained from battlefield deployment in Europe due to mutual deterrence.
