I just saw “Weapons” 4K streaming.

It is a weird disturbing movie alright. Not scary at all. Just freaky disturbing weird with blood and guts.

I think it is a good movie, but not sure I like it. Definitely won’t watch it again. :D

Watched Jurassic World: Rebirth last night. The studio is lucky they make so much internationally. This movie did not need to be made. The last two outings were just horrible. I barely made it through Dominion. With the talent they brought for this movie from Director, writers, producers and actors, you'd think it would be massive, but no. The script was garbage. Written by David Koepp who did the original and tons of other great movies. ScarJo and Ali were brought in for star power and you can tell they did it for the paycheck. The stupidity of these people and what they do throughout the movie, has you constantly shaking your head. If you do decide to watch it, just turn the brain off. You could fall asleep in the middle and still understand what happens in the end. The movie copies many things from the first one. Basically, uses the same score as well. Nothing original.

Picture and sound were fine. Standard 4k picture and mid-tier Atmos soundtrack. A few booms throughout.

I'm going to give this movie a 5/10.

I don't think anyone cares if we talk spoilers. Which scenes gave you the facepalms? :D

Possibly most of us in this thread have seen it. We had a brief discussion about it a while back. Rebirth was pretty average, but better than the last one.

According to FOMO, these recent summer movie UHD releases have been pretty sub-par on the HDR highlight spectrum.

Superman: 100 nits peak
F1: 200 nits peak
Jurassic World: Rebirth: 300 - 400 nits peak

(Presumably he was working with the streaming copies at the time. I doubt the actual UHD would be graded any differently though)

Not a great showcase for these new 5000 nits TVs.

Jurassic World PQ definitely looked the prettiest.

What is the expected movie HDR peak nits?

The scene where they're in the tall grass and the big brontosaurus like dinosaurs just come out of nowhere. How everyone was just blown away. The scientist touching the leg of one and just in shock and awe. Later in the gas station, when they're running from those mutated flying dinosaurs. Very similar to the Velociraptor kitchen scene in the original Jurassic Park. Then throughout there were little references popping up here and there. But those two scenes stick out the most.

I can’t remember too much. But what about those 2 scenes gave you facepalms?
