I mean ATMOS overhead sound effects (Warfare 4K Streaming).

If you have a great ATMOS system, you would see that "Civil War" has a lot better ATMOS effects than "Warfare". :D

In terms of story, "Warfare" basically didn't have much story/plot - they were stuck in the house and the plot was to get out of the house and return to base. IMO, that's lame. :D

I wouldn't say "Civil War" has a great plot, but at least the plot is a lot more complex.

"Black Hawk Down" also has a lot more complex plot than "Warfare".

Anyway, that's my impression of "Warfare 4K Streaming". Not sure if the UHD Disc is much better, but I didn't think much of the non-plot. :D
hahaha Warfare is based on an actual event! The Writer and co-director was involved in that situation. So, it was a peak at what happens when sh*t hits the fan. I like military movies like Warfare, they're not for everyone. It was cool seeing how the Seals work. Sitting, waiting and then start noticing things and BAM! the REAL stuff kicks in and now it's a fight to survive.

Streaming Atmos will never ever be as good as Disc or K-scape. That's just a fact. So, you really didn't get to experience the full sound. When they open fire with those machines guns my room was blowing up. Sound of bullet casings all over, the return fire from outside. Every speaker was lit up. Reference demo worthy sound on this 4k disc.

Civil War had a solid Atmos track but not Demo worthy. The action scenes punched. The end when they're going all in at the White house was very loud. Lots of bass happening during the final 15-20 mins of the movie. :)

Yep. Warfare was not trying to Marvel-ize to give a story to a true event. It just gave an honest portrayal of that situation and I felt it delivered.

Not sure what I am going to watch tonight yet. Maybe one of the Predator movies from the set. I already watched Predator, it was OK. No Atmos track, still the dts-HD MA. It looked improved video wise, but still very grainy in parts. Has been a while since I've seen 2, but read that it also wasn't fully redone like #1.

What Civil War had are EXTENDED scenes of ATMOS.

I have never seen ATMOS scenes that lasted as long/extended as Civil War in any movie.

The scenes in Civil War that I noted for my review with the aircraft’s overhead were extremely long.

Now, I get that just because the ATMOS overhead scenes in Civil War lasted 5 times as long as any scenes in Warfare does not automatically prove that Civil War has better ATMOS. But it STOOD OUT. It’s something I’ve NEVER seen before. It seemed like a whole 2 minutes of aircrafts flying and panning overhead. :D

I agree with that. Just not my cup of tea.

I want to see US Forces kick a$$, blow sh!tes up, and get the sexy cars and babes too all in a days work! :D

Saw “Thunderbolts” 4K ATMOS Streaming, which is the best Marvels movies I’ve seen in terms of plot/writing.

PQ. Excellent. Shot with 4K Digital ARRI Alexa 35. Looks great as expected from Arri Alexa Digital.

SQ. Good overall. Heard some good base. Not much overhead, typical of Marvel. I had to turn up the volume by +5.0, probably just streaming audio.

Story/Writing. I think the writing is excellent. This isn’t just a brainless action movie like 99% of comic book movies. This is actually real drama + a lot of action. Eric Pearson also wrote Thor Ragnarok, Black Widow, and Transformers One. I think he is an excellent writer. I didn’t expect much before watching. So very pleasantly surprised. I didn’t know Eric Pearson was the writer before watching it.

I think this is the best Marvels movie- much better than all of the Avengers movies combined. If he had written all the Avengers movies, I would have actually liked them. I definitely want Eric Pearson to write more movies.

I will watch it again on 4K UHD disc. Hopefully the ATMOS is better and I won’t have to turn up the volume by +5.0.

Oh, just saw that Eric Pearson co-wrote the script for Fantastic Four 2025 (w/ Josh Friedman). So hopefully this will be the best version of F4. :D

I looked forward to and enjoyed “Thunderbolts*” at the movies. It was a big step up in quality from many of the Marvel movies. It should get the IMAX Enhanced treatment on Disney+ soon. Haven’t purchased a Marvel movie disc in a long time but this one is worth it.

One funny thing I noticed was that "Bob" is also Lewis Pullman's other character in Top Gun Maverick (his name was also "Bob". :D

Just saw “Karate Kid Legends 2025” 4K ATMOS Streaming.

PQ. Excellent. Shot with Arri Alexa 4K digital.

SQ. It was okay, not a sound effects movie. Not distracting.

Writing/Story. It’s basically a Cobra Kai movie. It feels like Cobra Kai, especially at the very end in California. ;) I like it. It’s short, fast paced. No time for a lot of character development, except for the main Character. Predictable, but understandable with such a short running time and in this type of genre. But I like it. I think the writing is good.

I like the movie. But my very favorite part of the movie is definitely the very Cobra Kai ending in California. :D

It is a lot older obviously, but the skin textures and tones, various random objects in-scene are almost shockingly improved. To me, it is on par with se7en, because I was not expecting a film this old to look this good. There is a whole extra just on the 4K remaster.
I stood in line for hour and a half just waiting to get in to see that movie. Than bought it on VHS tape. Than on disc, so hard pass on any shark movie that's been beat to death.

This one is a must see in theaters. Legacy was good in theaters too. When we went to see F1, I could hear a number of people say "We have to go see that!!" during this trailer.

I just saw the new Superman 2025 movie.

PQ. Looks good as expected. It was shot using the RED 4-8K digital cameras. No surprise that picture quality is great.

SQ. I saw it at the local AMC ATMOS theater, which means it doesn’t sound as good as my home theater. So it’s not a fair comparison. It might sound much better if I had seen it in my HT room

Writing/story. This is by far the absolute worst Superman movie I’ve ever seen. Like it was written by a “10 year old boy”. The plot wholes are as big as a black hole. I was doing face-palms all movie long. I thought the writer/director did the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, which I thought were all good. He should have stuck to that franchise and not mess with Superman. My goodness, this movie is horrible. So many things just didn’t make sense. It’s laughable and ridiculous.

There is absolutely no character development. Not even a little. Absolutely no chemistry between Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane. Absolutely no chemistry between anyone- not even Clark Kent and his earth parents.

And that super dog is just stupid.

This writer/director tried so hard to make it funny. Like showing Lois purposely pouring a whole jar of sugar into her coffee cup. How stupid is that.

Anyway, this movie got on my nerves big time from beginning to end.

I will pretend this movie was never made.

But, the IMDB ratings are high, so most people probably liked it. :D

So it’s most likely NOT as bad as I said. :D

But there is no way it is as great as what some of these reviews say either.
