A corner-stone of NPT is USA being prepared to use nuclear weapons to defend allies and friends as a deterrent, but with Trump in power (for a second time) that is now in doubt.
Bingo.

Who knows what will happen once nukes proliferate

Anthony Scaramucci on X:

Here is a recap of the Ukraine situation, for those choosing to reject propaganda and continue seeking truth:

December 1994, Ukraine agrees to give up its nuclear arsenal in return for security guarantees from the US, UK, France, China and Russia.

February 2014, Russia invades and subsequently annexes Crimea, President Obama does next to nothing. War through weakness.

July 2019, Trump admin withholds $250 million in military aid to Ukraine to apply pressure to investigate alleged corruption by Hunter and Joe Biden.

February 2022, Russia invades a weakened Ukraine, world expects Zelenskyy to flee and Kyiv to fall within days. Ukrainians fight bravely for 3+ years, inflict hundreds of thousands of casualties on Russian army, weaken Putin politically.

U.S. has sent ~$70 billion in outdated military equipment to Ukraine since start of war, providing opportunity for U.S. military to modernize its weaponry. We’ve sent an additional $30+ billion in budget support, $75 billion in ancillary appropriations related to war.

~50,000 Ukrainians have died defending their homeland, protecting U.S. and Western interests in the process. Meanwhile, the U.S. President and V.P. are calling democratically-elected Zelenskyy a dictator and berating him in Oval Office in pursuit of a financial payoff.

The U.S. should be thanking Ukrainians, who have fought for our common interests with only modest financial support from a country with a ~$30 trillion GDP.

America can and will reclaim its backbone again soon, with better policy and messaging from common sense moderates.

Slava Ukraina.

Not necessarily take over territory, but the same strategic military reasons we didn't want the Warsaw pact alliance. Now, don't want, Russia, China, North Korea form a military alliance.
I tend to think Putin would not want Nato involvement so to invade Ukraine more easily.

Seriously, I have no life.
If attacking Poland would be unwise, attacking Finland would be imbecilic. They will probably continue with their sabotage campaign, since they don't have the resources - or the balls - for open confrontation.
"There's a fine line between clever and stupid"- Spinal Tap.

Let's hope nobody does anything that's too stupid for humanity's sake.

That circus show was beyond the pale. I also wish greater Europe would act more as one and independent of the U.S. taking the lead.

On the surface it seems legit. How much money can we keep giving to other peoples wars? Really though I think Trump Republicans just don't care about the demise of Ukraine. And not in a it isn't that I don't care about Ukraine, but we can't keep funding them indefinitely. I tend to think some of them resent Ukraine more than Russia. If my assumption is correct I chalk that up to the Trump era LOL.

At least that part I can understand. Just come out out and say we aren't getting involved anymore than we are even if Ukraine is the victim.

I'm curious, and I don't know, if there is any negotiations going on amongst countries that border Russia for a defense pact.

The President’s boyfriend starts a war and then the President offers “protection” like a mobster to Ukraine. Just because Trump has literally bent over for Putin does not mean the rest of the world has to continue to do so.

Trump wants minerals from Ukraine to pay off his and Musk’s own debts. Those two sleazy coke whores have shady deals going on all over the place. Robbing Americans alone will not cut it and they need to look all over the world for people to f#%k over.

I'd rather they just came out and said it vs the circus show of BS. Basically Trump and Vance's meeting with Zelensky in front of the camera was performance. Note how it was those two who lost their cool when Zelensky responded, so it's obvious to me they wanted to steer this in a different direction.

I don't have any experience with defense pacts to know.
