Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) what do you guys think of it?

It says disingenous propaganda and nothing else.
I disagree. It points out the contrast beetween the pre-modern, superstitious, conspiratorial flat earth orthodoxy coming from the right to the postmodern, pseudocience based biology-denial coming from the left. Both perspectives are totalizing authoritarian bullshit, and both are completely nuts. Both are harmful to public health.

We've been fucked for a while. We'll just be more fucked under RFK's lunacy.

Seriously, I have no life.
I think the physicians and nurses need to put an end to this nonsense. Time for a mass work stoppage and resignations. Let is see how the nation's health improves under JFK's voodoo. The profession has the power to end this nonsense and should.
How will that benefit those who urgently need treatment during the stoppage and resignations?

False equivalence.

A, tounge-in-cheek, simple triage question: Who did you vote for. Elections have consequences.

If there's any plans for coming up with a correct food tree, mandating that all schools have exercise/physical activity for the kids instead of letting them stare at their phones all day, change fast food menus to reduce salt, simple carb-heavy items and do more to promote healthy lifestyle/preventive measures against Diabetes and heart disease, it would be great. I doubt it will happen, but....

People are embracing the four day work week- using "I don't have time for exercise' needs to end unless they actually have no time.

RFK Jr. knows how to fix this: When the children are dead their phone usage will go down, and this will reduce the parents monthly bill. Obviously a win-win deal with RFK Jr.

Is it, though? Public health policy should rest on the most epistemically valid framework, based on evidence and the scientific method, rigorously applied. In other words, good old fashioned, evidence based, scientific modernism, not pre- or postmodernism.

Levine is an activist pushing an agenda, e.g. putting pressure on WPATH for changes in their soc recommendations that directly contradict all available evidence. He personifies the illiberal, authoritarian postmodernism that prevails on the left. And RFK is completely fear and superstition driven, representing premodernism.

Well, it seems we share a similar cynicism.

RFK Jr is the very antithesis of this view. Levin, not so much, as far as I know.

Really?

So, as I asked others in this thread: When the next deadly pandemic strikes, who do you prefer: Levine or RFK Jr? And why.

Oh, I would prefer a biological realist and qualified expert, like Fauci, over either of those idiots.

Unless the GOP Senate grows a spine RFK Jr is what you’ll get, and I dare say, deserve.

Anyone like Fauci will be fired.

They won't, more likely they'll give RFK carte blanche to cement his lunacy into policy. It will take decades to unwind the damage. Like I said up thread, we're fucked.

It's time to stop "you can be whatever you want to be, even if you weren't born that way" - dressing like something doesn't make it so. It's not biology, identity is Psychology- let's do it that way and find someplace to agree on what to call it- a male or female dressing as a female or male, respectively, doesn't change their chromosomes.

There was nothing tongue in cheek about it- if enough in medicine quit or stage slowdowns, people will die. If you find this humorous, you really don't understand.

Yes, elections have consequences but most of these nominations had been made until early this week, so there was no good way to predict who would be riding in the clown car. If the Senate rubber-stamps them, it will be time to clean house in that chamber. This is the reason we shouldn't have all three branches occupied by members of one party and I doubt it has happened before, certainly not with the level of shysters we have now.

And once again, you're assuming I voted for Trump. I couldn't do that with a clear conscience.

Like in Trumps first two years as well as in Bidens first two years? You missed that?

I always thought that MAHA meant Make America Hate Again. We now have that covered. :(
