Yamaha receiver and fire stick

I just upgraded to gig speed internet and I’m having trouble getting any speed higher than 300k on my fire stick speed test. My phone and iPad are testing out at 600+k. I have my fire stick connected directly to the Yamaha receiver and it’s a hardwire connection from the router. Is there something I need to configure on my receiver to handle higher internet speeds? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using one of those ethernet USB adaptors from your router to your Firestick, 300-350 is about the maximum they do.
(hard to tell exactly what you are doing the way your post is worded)

Wi-Fi to the Firestick might actually be faster, but ethernet is much more stable.
Your AVR has nothing to do with anything related.

What on Earth to you need more speed to the Firestick for ?
It's certainly not going to make streaming any better.

You’re right 300k is more than enough I just wanted to make sure everything was working to its full capacity. Thanks for the help!
