Playing the George Harrison Live in Japan LP and it sounds really terrific. Dead quiet and solid pressing. Clapton is in the band as mentioned previously. So on side 2 (of 4) they play "Something". That must've been interesting. Beatle George and Eric remained best of friends of course through it all, but I wonder if that was awkward or if they had a good laugh over it. This was 1991 and Eric was still with Patti. George was married to Olivia by then.

Listening to the new Hendrix box set. Songs in the process of being recorded for an album he didn’t live to release. Always great to hear new Jimi. RIP.

More Doobie's! favorite is "What were Once Vises are Now Habits".
My favorite on this particular album has to be "For Someone Special" -- still gives me goosebumps when I hear the rhythm section, especially in the fadeout at the end.

Black Water is my favorite Doobie song. I was actually stationed in the USAF at the Keesler base in Mississippi when this song was being played on the air. Good memories.

See, I always thought that was too "goofy" or "swampy" of a song -- but I was born in '73, so a lot of this music was before my time...came to appreciate a lot of it later on.

I like some of the Michael McDonald Doobies, but the Tom Johnson era was where it's at for the vast majority of Boobie Bros fans, including me. I have all of those albums, except the first one.

Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia live. The tour from their Blood Brothers album with many of the same songs. Live music is better bumper stickers should be issued, as Neil Young said. Great stuff.
