OK WARNING TO ALL MEMBERS.
This is the ultimate Audiophool product and can now be considered example A of their nonsense.
This is an absolutely dreadful amplifier.
Its measurements are rock bottom awful.
It has a ridiculously high output impedance even for a tube amp. So its frequency response has a strong tendency to follow the impedance curve of the loudspeaker it is driving.
Its signal to noise ratio is far from spectacular.
This amp has no negative feedback. The manufacturers/designers claim this is to reduce dynamic compression. Negative feedback does nothing of the sort. Negative feedback was introduced 70 plus years ago, to get distortion down to acceptable limits. At this, it is very successful.
So as might be expected this amplifier introduces distortion at a level not seen since the early post WW II years and prior. Distortion becomes unacceptable at the 1 to 2 watt level depending on the impedance of the speaker. At normal listening levels it is already atrocious. At its rated 100 watt output, distortion is 10%.!
This is the sort of nonsense these golden eared fools who proclaim, that measurements don't matter and are meaningless promote.
Well, I don't think the members here need me to warn them off this fraud. But I post this here, so people really can see what sort of nonsense is circulating in the world of high end audio. Only the absolutely tone deaf could derive any pleasure from this amp.
Lastly the manufacturer published no meaningful specifications what so ever. So if you can convince a bunch of wealthy fools of nonsense, you can commit any fraud on them you want, as long as it looks pretty.
