Reminds me of a childhood friend that went to USA for a college education. When he came home for vacation he told me the following joke: Do you know what the similarity is between a canoe and American beer? Their both f*cking close to water.

It's one of the reasons large American brewers recommend low temperature- it just sucks when it's warm. The craft brewers brought good brews back but Americans do like cold beer. Miller Lite has been a very popular beer for a long time, but I couldn't drink that swill.

I just checked the Lakefront Brewery site and saw that they're shipping to to several European countries, including Sweden- the exports have increased greatly in the last decade. Their brews are nothing like mainstream American, fortunately. The owners started when they were in high school and have grown significantly, as well as contributing to various charities and civic organizations.

Even so it was a disgrace. That was fascism on display pure and simple. Unless the Republican party can unequivocally denounce fascism in all its forms, we are in serious trouble. This is the stuff that brews civil war. If this is not resisted vigorously it will inevitably lead to a second American Civil War. With all the firepower all over the country, this is by no means a stretch to envisage.

The speaker of the house is another disgrace, providing zero true leadership and demonstrating fascist leanings himself.

They all are. That's why the "news" is just people stating their opinions about things that are happening.

Once they went from wanting to have the most integrity and insisted on fact based reporting, to being first to report a story and replace integrity and facts with the endless pursuit of high ratings so they can sell ads.
